Trinidad & Tobago Election 2010

Silly season (election time in Trinidad & Tobago) is very entertaining to me. I’m not surprised that I (as well as a lot of folks in T&T) can find  humor at this crucial time. My mother always said  the old adage “thing to cry you laugh” speaks to me.

As I’m sitting here, being entertained by yet another campaign “meeting”, I reflect on Mummy’s words to me and I started rembering quite a few that pertains to this particular time in T&T.

I will try to list them all, but feel free to add any that you may know, that I may have left out.

Two man rat cannot live in the same hole.

Pot calling the kettle black.

Out of the frying pan into the fire.

If the shoe fits, wear it.

If you do the crime you will do the time (Thank you for that one  Ms Kamala B).

What sweet in goat mouth does sour in the bam-bam (was also made into a Calypso song)

Spit in the sky will fall in your eye

When your neighbor’s house is on fire, wet yours!

One eye man is King in Blind man country.

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t force it to drink.

A filthy mouth will not utter decent language.

Please add yours and I will also continue adding to the list as I remember them.

Bless,

Knyxx…
